Each year, the Foundation brings a highly acclaimed author to the Library for free discussion and book signing with the author.
The Library event is followed by a "Dinner with the Author" at a local establshment to raise funds to support the Library. After dinner, the author is interviewed by NPR personality, Naomi Arenberg.

Past authors who have been part of our series are: Anita Shreve, Michael Tougias, Hank Phillipi Ryan, and Tracy Kidder.

It started with Murder in the Library, then went on to include a strange take on Alice in Wonderland, and a film noir spoof! Regardless of the subject matter, the annual production has been a popular event. The roles of the characters are played by some of Wareham's most notable notables! The production is held in Redmen Hall with appetizers and snacks provided by the Foundation and an open bar is available.

All proceeds from our fundraisers are used to support the Wareham Free Library in a variety of ways, from augmenting the Director's salary to purchasing equipment and materials.
